First DangerA small lion cub was mewling from her mother's side in a wide, cozy den. She was a princess. Future queen of the Wild Lands. Her mother Kimili was lapping at her fur, giving her a bath while her father Hokoto was out patrolling with the other lioness's making sure there was order and not kaos. Her parents had named their cub Yuma. She was golden, with blue eyes, and a strange yellow diamond on her forehead.When her mother saw her catch a butterfly one day, her aunt Imani viewed it as a sign she would be the pride's greatest hunter.Soon, Yuma grew to be a feisty lion cub and wanted so badly to run out and explore since she was sure she was of age. She saw her mother return from a hunt and bounded up to her, not far from the den of the tremendous Wild Rock. "Mum! May I go out and play? Please? I'm not a newborn anymore!"
